The M.A. FORD 67043701 is a single-end countersink designed for chamfering, countersinking, and deburring operations across a wide range of workpiece materials. It features a 60-degree included angle with a 30-degree centerline angle and a 7/16-inch head diameter. The tool is manufactured from high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish and mounts on a straight-cylindrical 1/4-inch shank. At 2 inches overall length, it is sized for benchtop drill presses, CNC machines, and handheld drilling applications. No pilot is included. Machinists, tool and die workers, and metalworking fabricators are the primary installers.
This countersink is suited for use on alloy steel, mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-tensile steel, high-nickel steel, Monel, aluminum, brass, magnesium, magnesium alloy, and plastic. It is appropriate for both production and job-shop environments where a consistent chamfer or deburring operation is required. The right-hand cutting direction and uncoated finish make it a straightforward choice for general-purpose countersinking without the added cost of coated tooling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling option for metalworking and fabrication applications requiring a 60-degree countersink on a 1/4-inch straight shank.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists or metalworking technicians. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a drill chuck or collet before operation. Ensure the workpiece is clamped securely to prevent movement during cutting. Follow shop-standard speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and always wear appropriate eye protection during countersinking operations.
