The M.A. FORD. 67018703 is a single-end, right-hand countersink designed for chamfering, countersinking, and deburring operations across a wide range of materials. Built from high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, this tool features a 90-degree included angle and a 45-degree centerline angle. The straight cylindrical shank measures 3/16 inch in diameter, and the tool has an overall length of 1.5 inches. With no flutes and a maximum cutting diameter of 0.170 inch, it is suited for precision hand-fed or low-speed machine applications. Licensed tradespeople and machinists working in fabrication, maintenance, and production environments rely on this style of countersink for clean, consistent seat geometry.
This countersink is used in applications requiring a standard 90-degree countersunk hole profile. It performs well across a broad material range including mild steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-tensile steel, high-nickel steel, Monel, aluminum, brass, magnesium, magnesium alloy, and plastic. Typical install scenarios include preparing fastener seats in sheet metal, structural components, and machined parts. The compact 1.5-inch overall length suits bench drill press work, hand drills, and CNC setups where a short-reach tool is preferred.
Designed as a general-purpose countersink for use in standard 3/16-inch straight-shank tool holders, collets, and drill chucks across drill press and CNC applications.
This tool is installed and used by machinists, tool and die workers, and maintenance technicians. Secure the shank firmly in a drill chuck or collet before operation and confirm the workpiece is clamped to prevent movement. Use appropriate cutting fluid when working with ferrous metals to extend tool life. Do not exceed the recommended speed range for the material being cut, as high-speed steel tooling is sensitive to overheating.
