The M.A. FORD. 61T025002 is a single-flute countersink designed for precision deburring and countersinking operations across a wide range of materials. Built from high-speed steel with a TiN (titanium nitride) coating, it offers improved surface hardness and extended tool life compared to uncoated alternatives. The 82-degree included angle matches standard fastener head geometry for flush-seating applications. With a 0.25-inch shank diameter and 2-inch overall length, this tool fits standard drill chucks and collet holders used in manual and CNC drilling setups. It is suited for machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians working in shop or field environments.
This countersink is appropriate for use on a broad spectrum of materials including alloy steel, mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-tensile steel, high-nickel steel, Monel, aluminum, brass, magnesium, magnesium alloy, and plastic. The single-flute design reduces chatter and produces a cleaner finish in softer materials, making it a practical choice for both production runs and one-off fabrication work. It is well suited to light machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held power tools where a straight-cylindrical shank tool is required.
Designed for countersinking operations on alloy steel, aluminum, brass, cast iron, high-nickel steel, high-tensile steel, magnesium, magnesium alloy, mild steel, Monel, plastic, and stainless steel. Fits any standard drill chuck or collet accepting a 0.25-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Install into a compatible drill chuck or collet holder, ensuring the shank is fully seated and the holding device is securely tightened before operation. Power down and disconnect the machine from its energy source before changing tooling. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubrication when working with ferrous metals to manage heat buildup and extend tool life. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for spindle speed and feed rate selection.
