The M.A. FORD 61200001 is a single-flute, high-speed steel countersink designed for precision chamfering, countersinking, and deburring across a wide range of materials. It features a 60-degree included angle (30-degree centerline angle) and a 2-inch head diameter, making it well suited for creating clean, accurate countersunk seats in production and maintenance machining environments. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 0.75 inches in diameter with a 3.75-inch overall length. A bright, uncoated finish is standard. This tool is installed and used by machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance technicians working with drill presses, milling machines, or CNC machining centers.
This countersink is appropriate for use in general-purpose and production machining applications where a 60-degree seat angle is required. It handles a broad material range including alloy steel, mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-tensile steel, high-nickel steel, Monel, aluminum, brass, magnesium, magnesium alloy, and plastic. Its single-flute geometry provides smooth cutting action and is particularly effective when surface finish quality matters. No pilot is included. The tool is intended for single-end use and does not function as a countersink head-only assembly.
Designed for use in drill presses, milling machines, and CNC machining centers accepting a 0.75-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Compatible with alloy steel, mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-tensile steel, high-nickel steel, Monel, aluminum, brass, magnesium, magnesium alloy, and plastic workpiece materials.
This tool is installed by machinists and should be secured in a properly sized chuck or collet to the full shank engagement depth before use. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing or adjusting tooling. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant for the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain surface finish quality. Follow the machine manufacturer and shop safety guidelines for speeds and feeds based on material and desired finish.
