The M.A. FORD 61025003 is a single-flute, 90-degree included angle countersink designed for chamfering, countersinking, and deburring operations in metal and plastic materials. Manufactured from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish, this tool features a 1/4-inch straight cylindrical shank and a 2-inch overall length. The single-flute geometry reduces chatter and produces a clean, accurate seat for flat-head fasteners. With a tip diameter of 0.045 inches and a 45-degree centerline angle, it is suited for precision hand-feed and machine-feed applications. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance mechanics routinely specify this type of countersink for both production and repair work.
This countersink is well-suited for use on drill presses, CNC machining centers, lathes, and hand-held power tools equipped with a 1/4-inch collet or chuck. It performs across a broad range of materials including mild steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-tensile steel, high-nickel steel, Monel, aluminum, brass, magnesium, magnesium alloy, and most plastics. The bright finish is appropriate for general-purpose shop use where specialized coatings are not required. It ships individually as a single-piece unit with no pilot included.
Designed as an OEM-style single-flute countersink compatible with any machine or hand-tool spindle accepting a 1/4-inch straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for chamfering, countersinking, and deburring across the listed material applications.
A licensed machinist or trained shop technician should install and operate this tooling. Secure the shank firmly in the collet or chuck before use and verify runout is within acceptable limits for the application. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant when working with ferrous materials to extend tool life and improve finish quality.
