It features a 165-degree drill point angle optimized for clean entry and exit in thin, layered materials. The fast spiral geometry with a 35-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during high-speed drilling operations. With a 3.2mm cutting diameter and a 1/8-inch (3.18mm) shank diameter, this bit fits standard circuit board drilling chucks and spindles. The tapered web configuration adds rigidity and helps maintain accuracy in demanding production or repair environments. Licensed HVAC and electronics technicians, PCB fabricators, and precision machinists are the typical users.
This drill bit is suited for circuit board drilling applications across a wide range of workpiece materials including alloy steel, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and titanium. Installation and use of this bit should be performed by qualified machinists or electronics fabrication technicians familiar with CNC or manual drill press operation. Secure the shank firmly in the collet or chuck to the equipment manufacturer's specified clamping method to prevent runout. Inspect the bit for chipping or wear before each use, as solid carbide bits can fracture if used in damaged condition or at incorrect speeds and feeds.
