The M.A. FORD. 30203121C is a micro drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding materials. Built from solid carbide with a bright/uncoated finish, it features a 130-degree point angle and a fast spiral flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation. The bit measures 1/32 inch (0.0312 inch decimal) in diameter with a 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank and a 1.5-inch overall length. It is a right-hand cutting tool with two flutes and a 0.4-inch flute length. Machinists, toolmakers, and precision fabricators working with CNC mills, drill presses, or manual machines reach for this bit when tolerance and material hardness matter.
This micro drill bit is suited for use in ferrous and non-ferrous materials including cast iron, hardened steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, carbon steel, aluminum, tool steel, and special alloys. The 130-degree point angle reduces thrust and improves centering on hard and abrasive workpieces. It is well matched to small-hole applications in precision machining, mold work, electronics fabrication, and aerospace component production where tight hole tolerances are required. The Series 302 designation identifies it as a modified standard geometry within the M.A. FORD. product line.
Designed as an OEM-style precision micro drill for use with standard 1/8-inch straight-shank collet chucks and drill chucks on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills capable of holding a straight-cylindrical shank. Compatible workpiece materials include cast iron, hardened steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, carbon steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, tool steel, and special alloys as specified by M.A. FORD. for the Series 302.
This bit should be installed and operated by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with micro-drilling practices. Always secure the shank fully in a collet or chuck rated for 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shanks and verify runout before cutting. Power down and de-energize the spindle completely before changing tooling. Carbide micro drills are brittle and susceptible to breakage from side load, misalignment, or excessive feed rate - do not use in hand-held drilling applications.
