The M.A. FORD. 30203100 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for high-precision drilling in printed circuit board and similar small-hole applications. It carries a No. 68 wire gauge size, translating to a decimal diameter of 0.0310 inches (0.79 mm). The 130-degree drill point and fast spiral flute geometry promote clean entry and efficient chip evacuation in tight, shallow-depth bores. The tapered web configuration adds rigidity at the cutting edge. With a 1/8-inch shank diameter, this bit fits standard drill chucks and CNC micro-drilling spindles used by machinists and electronics fabricators.
This bit is suited for precision drilling in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, high-temperature alloy, and titanium. The 35-degree helix angle and fast spiral configuration are well matched to materials that demand quick chip clearance to prevent work hardening or tool binding. It is commonly used in light machining, prototyping, and PCB manufacturing environments where hole diameter consistency and tight tolerances are required. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drill press and CNC spindle rotation.

Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Carbide bits are brittle — avoid lateral loading, side pressure, or interrupted cuts that can cause chipping or fracture. Ensure the spindle and collet are clean and concentric before seating the shank. Confirm machine RPM and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and hole diameter before engaging the cut.
