The M.A. FORD 30019100 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit board fabrication and high-tolerance machining applications. Sized at wire gauge 11 (0.1910 inches / 4.85 mm), it features a 118-degree drill point angle and a fast spiral flute geometry with a 35-degree helix angle. The tapered web configuration adds rigidity and reduces walking on entry. With a flute length of 0.75 inches and an overall length of 1.5 inches, this compact bit is built for accurate, repeatable through-holes in tight-tolerance work. It is a right-hand cutting, two-flute design classified as heavy-duty grade. Solid carbide construction is installed by machining professionals and PCB fabrication technicians.
This drill bit is suited for drilling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, plastics, and steel. Its fast spiral flute design promotes efficient chip evacuation in these materials, reducing heat buildup and maintaining hole quality across production runs. The uncoated solid carbide construction is appropriate for dry cutting or with coolant in CNC drilling equipment and precision drill presses. It is commonly used in electronics manufacturing, prototype shops, and production environments where hole size accuracy and tool life are critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide drill bit for CNC and manual precision drilling equipment accepting a 0.1910-inch (4.85 mm) shank diameter.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or PCB fabrication technicians. Ensure the machine spindle and collet are clean and properly sized for the 4.85 mm shank before seating the bit. Power down and lock out the drilling equipment before changing tooling. Do not exceed the recommended RPM range for solid carbide tooling in the material being drilled, and inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each production run.
