The M.A. FORD. 30010650 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision hole-making in printed circuit board fabrication and related small-diameter drilling applications. Built to wire gauge size 36 (0.1065 inches / 2.71 mm), it features a 118-degree drill point angle and a fast spiral flute geometry with a 35-degree helix angle, which promotes efficient chip evacuation in demanding materials. The tapered web configuration adds rigidity at the cutting edge. This is a heavy-duty grade bit suited for production and maintenance drilling by machinists, PCB fabricators, and precision trade technicians.
This drill bit is well suited for drilling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, plastics, and steel in both light production and bench-work scenarios. The fast spiral design makes it particularly effective when chip packing is a concern in softer non-ferrous and plastic substrates common to circuit board and light-gauge metal work. With a 5/8-inch flute length and a 1-1/2-inch overall length, it fits standard precision drill chucks and PCB drilling equipment used in electronics manufacturing and repair environments.
Designed as an OEM-style precision drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and PCB drilling equipment accepting a 0.1065-inch (2.71 mm) round shank.
Installation and use of this bit should be performed by qualified machinists or technicians familiar with precision drilling equipment. Ensure the drill chuck or collet is clean and properly tightened before operation to prevent runout at this small diameter. Use appropriate spindle speeds for the workpiece material per tooling manufacturer guidelines. Always wear appropriate eye protection and secure workpieces firmly before drilling.
