The M.A. FORD. 30009450 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit engineered for precision drilling in printed circuit board fabrication and electronics manufacturing applications. Ground to a 118-degree drill point angle with a fast spiral flute design and a 35-degree helix angle, this bit evacuates chips efficiently while maintaining hole accuracy in tight-tolerance work. The 2.4mm cutting diameter and matching 2.4mm shank diameter are ground to a tolerance of -0.013 to +0.000 mm, ensuring consistent, repeatable hole geometry. With a flute length of 16mm and an overall length of 38mm, the bit provides adequate depth capacity for standard PCB stack drilling. It is sold and packaged as a single unit.
This drill bit is suited for drilling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel in addition to its primary circuit board applications. The fast spiral geometry and right-hand cutting direction make it appropriate for use in CNC drilling machines and precision drill presses where controlled feed rates and spindle speeds are maintained. Two flutes provide clearance and chip flow in shallow-depth drilling cycles common to electronics and light fabrication environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use drill bit for precision CNC drilling machines and drill presses accepting a 2.4mm straight shank. Compatible with cast iron, non-ferrous metal, and steel workpieces per manufacturer specifications.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by machinists or technicians familiar with CNC or precision drill press operation. Ensure the machine spindle and collet are fully powered down and locked out before loading or changing bits. Verify collet size matches the 2.4mm shank diameter exactly to prevent runout and premature bit breakage. Do not exceed recommended feed rates and spindle speeds for the workpiece material and bit diameter.
