The M.A. FORD 2XDCS1496A is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit in the 2XDCS series, designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. It carries a 3.80 mm (0.1496 inch) diameter, a 142-degree split-point geometry, and an ALtima plus Titanium Nitride (TiN) dual coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-temperature applications. The overall length is 63.00 mm (2.480 inches) with a 22.00 mm (0.866 inch) flute length, a 4.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank, and a maximum drilling depth of 18.00 mm. It cuts right-hand with a regular spiral and two flutes. Licensed machinists, toolroom technicians, and precision manufacturing shops are the primary users.

This drill is rated for primary workpiece material codes H, M, and S, which correspond to hardened steels, stainless and heat-resistant steels, and high-temperature superalloys and titanium alloys. Installation Notes
