The M.A. FORD 2XDCL1457A is a taper length solid carbide drill bit designed for precision hole-making in demanding industrial and metalworking applications. Built from solid carbide and finished with a TiN (titanium nitride) coating, this bit delivers extended tool life and consistent performance in hard and abrasive materials. It measures 3.7 mm in diameter (0.1457 inches) with a 142-degree drill point angle suited for flat-bottomed entry and reduced walking on hard surfaces. The overall length is 92 mm with a 44 mm flute length, and the straight cylindrical shank measures 4.0 mm in diameter. Coolant-through capability supports high-speed deep drilling operations with effective chip evacuation. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary installers of this bit.
This drill bit is rated for use in cast iron, titanium, carbon steel, alloy steel, and tool steel.
