The M.A. FORD. 27875030B is a single-end square end mill designed for precision material removal in demanding machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlCrN for heat and wear resistance, this tool handles aggressive cuts in hardened steels, stainless, and high-temp alloys. It features a 3/4 inch diameter cutting profile, a 2.375 inch length of cut, and a 5-inch overall length. The 5-flute, variable-index geometry reduces chatter and improves surface finish at higher feed rates. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This end mill is installed by machinists and CNC tooling specialists in production and job-shop environments.
This tool is suited for milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where tight tolerances and finish quality are required. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, making it adaptable to slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations. The 3/4 inch shank diameter is compatible with standard ER collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and hydraulic chucks used on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The AlCrN coating extends tool life in dry or near-dry machining conditions, reducing the need for flood coolant in many applications.
Designed as a standard shank solid carbide square end mill compatible with 3/4 inch ER collet chucks, shrink-fit toolholders, and hydraulic chucks on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per applicable machine safety procedures. Verify holder bore size and runout before seating the shank to maintain concentricity and edge life. Consult the machine tool manufacturer and tooling supplier documentation for recommended speeds, feeds, and depth-of-cut parameters appropriate to the workpiece material. Proper torque on collet nuts should follow the toolholder manufacturer specifications.
