The M.A. FORD. 278100512B is a solid carbide corner radius end mill head designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 1/4 inch corner radius and five helical flutes with a right-hand cutting direction, making it well suited for high-feed finishing and contouring passes on hardened or difficult-to-machine materials. The variable index geometry helps reduce chatter and harmonic vibration during aggressive cuts. This tooling is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, aerospace, die and mold, and general manufacturing settings.
This end mill head is used in modular tooling systems that accept interchangeable milling heads, commonly found in CNC machining centers handling profiling, slotting, and ramping operations.
