The M.A. FORD. 277XX750B is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for demanding material removal applications. It features a 3/4-inch cutting diameter with a 4-1/8-inch length of cut, making it suitable for deep-pocket and slotting operations where extended reach is required. The four-flute configuration uses a variable helix angle of 38/41 degrees to break up harmonic chatter and improve surface finish at higher feed rates. An AlCrN coating provides elevated heat resistance and oxidation protection, extending tool life in ferrous and hard alloy workpieces. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is used in vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers as well as manual knee mills capable of handling 3/4-inch tooling. Its extra-long length of cut makes it well suited for deep-pocket milling, side milling, and profiling operations where standard-length tools cannot reach. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are compatible with conventional spindle setups. The micrograin carbide substrate supports use in hardened steels, stainless alloys, cast iron, and similar materials where tool rigidity and edge retention are critical.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with standard 3/4-inch collet chucks, end mill holders, or shrink-fit toolholders. Suitable for deep-pocket and profile milling in ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless alloys, and cast iron.
This tool should be installed by a qualified machinist using a properly sized and clean 3/4-inch toolholder to ensure runout is within acceptable limits. Always confirm spindle speed and feed rate parameters are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the cut. Inspect the tool shank and holder bore for chips or contamination before seating. Do not exceed the rated length of cut when programming depths of engagement, as overextension can cause deflection or tool breakage.
