The M.A. FORD 277LCB7500B is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding cutting environments. It features a 3/4 inch diameter, a 2.25 inch length of cut, and a 5 inch overall length, making it well-suited for full-depth slotting, peripheral milling, and profiling operations. The 4-flute, helical design is paired with a 38/41 degree variable helix angle to reduce harmonics and chatter at elevated feed rates. An AlCrN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and high-temperature alloy materials. Micrograin carbide substrate supports high hardness and edge retention under aggressive cutting conditions.
This end mill is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators in job shop, aerospace, die-mold, and general machining environments. It is a single-end, right-hand cut, right-hand flute tool, appropriate for use in vertical machining centers and milling machines running ferrous materials, stainless steel, and similar difficult-to-machine alloys. The 3/4 inch shank diameter provides direct fit into standard ER or side-lock toolholders without reduction sleeves. Center-cutting capability allows plunge entry as well as conventional ramp and helical interpolation strategies.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or stock tooling option for CNC vertical machining centers and milling machines accepting a 3/4 inch straight shank. Compatible with standard ER collet chucks, hydraulic holders, and side-lock toolholders sized for 3/4 inch shank tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle lock is engaged before inserting or removing the tool. Verify toolholder runout with a dial indicator before first use, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine OEM guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth-of-cut parameters appropriate to the workpiece material.
