The M.A. FORD. 277 1000-0.80RB is a solid carbide corner radius end mill head designed for high-performance milling applications. Built with 4 helical flutes in a right-hand cutting direction, it features both variable index and variable helix geometry to reduce chatter and improve surface finish during aggressive cuts. The mill diameter is 10 millimeters with a 22-millimeter length of cut and a 72-millimeter overall length. Minimum helix angle is 38 degrees and maximum is 41 degrees. This head is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with modular end mill systems on CNC milling equipment.
This end mill head suits precision milling operations in metalworking environments where corner radius profiles are required to reduce stress concentrations in workpiece geometry. The solid carbide construction makes it appropriate for high-speed cutting of ferrous and non-ferrous materials in both roughing and finishing passes. The variable helix and variable index design are particularly useful in applications where vibration control and tool life are priorities on multi-axis CNC machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement head for modular end mill systems accepting 10 millimeter solid carbide corner radius heads. Consult the toolholder manufacturer specifications to confirm shank and interface compatibility before installation.
Installation of modular end mill heads should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer torque and interface seating procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing any cutting tool. Inspect the mating interface on the toolholder for chips, debris, or wear before seating the head. Do not use damaged or out-of-spec toolholders with this head, as improper seating can cause tool pull-out and workpiece damage.
