The M.A. FORD. 27220670 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in machine shop and production environments. With a 5.25mm reamer diameter and a reamer diameter tolerance of +0.005 to +0.010 mm, this tool delivers accurate, repeatable bore sizing in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The four-flute, right-hand cutting geometry and straight flute configuration promote smooth chip evacuation and consistent surface finish. Overall length is 76.00mm (3.0 inches) with a 25.50mm (1.0 inch) flute length. The bright, uncoated carbide body is suited for applications where coating compatibility is a concern or where the sharpest possible edge is required. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this tool.
This reamer is intended for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills where a straight-cylindrical shank is required for collet or drill chuck mounting. It fits applications in the 5.00mm to 6.00mm diameter range and is appropriate for finish-reaming through-holes and blind holes in production or job-shop settings. The right-hand spiral direction and right-hand cutting direction make it compatible with standard spindle rotation. No coolant-through capability is present, so external coolant or cutting fluid delivery should be used when required by the material.
Designed as an OEM-style precision reamer in the M.A. FORD. Series 272 line, suitable for machine tool setups accepting a straight-cylindrical shank in the 5.00mm to 6.00mm diameter class.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom professionals. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a collet, end mill holder, or keyed drill chuck before operation. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing the tool. Apply appropriate cutting fluid externally during reaming to manage heat and extend tool life, as this reamer does not have coolant-through capability.
