The M.A. FORD. 27220080 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in machining applications. It features a 5.10mm (0.2008 inch) cutting diameter with a reamer diameter tolerance of +0.005 to +0.010mm, making it suitable for close-tolerance bore work. The reamer runs 76.00mm in overall length with a 25.50mm flute length and is constructed from solid carbide for rigidity and wear resistance. It is installed in CNC machining centers, lathes, and drill presses by machinists and tool-and-die professionals requiring accurate, repeatable hole sizing.
This chucking reamer is used in production and job-shop environments where hole diameter consistency is critical. The straight-cylindrical shank allows direct mounting in standard chucks or collets without additional adapters. The bright, uncoated finish is suited for use in a variety of materials where coating-specific chemistry is not required. It is part of M.A. FORD. Series 272 and covers the 5.00mm to 6.00mm reamer diameter range.
Designed as a Series 272 OEM-style solid carbide chucking reamer for use in standard chucks and collet systems accepting a straight-cylindrical shank in the 5.00mm to 6.00mm diameter range.
This reamer is installed by machinists in chucks or collet holders; ensure the shank seating surface is clean and free of chips or burrs before clamping. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Do not use this reamer as a drill to remove significant material - pre-drill or bore the hole to near-final diameter before reaming. Follow machine shop safe-work practices and applicable tooling manufacturer recommendations for feeds and speeds.
