The M.A. FORD 27209550A is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in close-tolerance machining applications. Built to Series 272 standards, this reamer features a 0.0955-inch diameter with a diameter tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0003 inches, making it suitable for work requiring tight dimensional control. The straight flute geometry and right-hand cutting direction provide clean, consistent material removal. An ALtima coating adds surface hardness and wear resistance for extended tool life. At 2 inches overall length with a 0.5-inch flute length and straight-cylindrical shank, it is compatible with standard chucks and collets. Machine operators and tool-and-die machinists are the primary users of this reamer.
This reamer is intended for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills where a pre-drilled hole must be brought to a precise finished diameter. The 0.0955-inch diameter places it in the small-bore range, making it well suited for instrument components, hydraulic valve bodies, precision fixtures, and other work requiring consistent hole geometry at sub-0.1-inch diameters. The straight-cylindrical shank allows direct clamping in standard drill chucks or ER-style collet systems. This is a modified standard tool and is designated non-returnable and non-cancelable by the manufacturer.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide chucking reamer for use in standard drill chucks and ER collet holders across CNC and manual machining equipment. Compatible with machines accepting a straight-cylindrical shank in the applicable bore range.
Installation and use of this reamer should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with tool-holding practices and cutting parameters for solid carbide tooling. Ensure the machine spindle and chuck or collet are clean and properly torqued before inserting the shank. Power down the machine completely before changing or inspecting the tool. Do not use this reamer as a drill or apply side loads, as solid carbide tooling is brittle and susceptible to fracture under lateral force.
