The M.A. FORD. 22927560 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in non-ferrous metals. Built to DIN 6537L standards, it features a 150-degree drill point angle and a three-flute parabolic geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduced cutting resistance. The bright, uncoated finish suits applications where coating interaction with workpiece material is a concern. At 91 mm overall length with a 53 mm flute length and a maximum drilling depth of 43 mm, this bit delivers consistent, accurate bores in production and job-shop environments. Machining professionals and toolroom technicians are the primary users.
This drill bit is built for cutting non-ferrous metals, including aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials classified under material code N and O. The web-thinned, tapered web design reduces entry force at the drill point, making it well suited for CNC machining centers and manual drill presses where cycle time and hole quality matter. The straight-cylindrical shank with an 8 mm shank diameter seats securely in standard collet chucks and drill chucks. It performs reliably in both production runs and precision prototype work.
Designed for use in non-ferrous metal applications per DIN 6537L jobber length drill bit standards. Fits standard collet chucks and drill chucks accepting an 8 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a properly sized collet or drill chuck before operation and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance for the application. Machining technicians should confirm spindle speed and feed rate are set for solid carbide tooling in non-ferrous material before engaging the cut. Do not use this drill in interrupted cuts or on hardened ferrous materials without verifying suitability, as solid carbide is brittle under impact loading. Follow all applicable shop safety procedures and machine guarding requirements during setup and operation.
