The M.A. FORD. 22921870 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in non-ferrous metals and similar materials. Built to Series 229 specifications, it features a 3-flute parabolic design with a 150-degree drill point angle and web-thinned geometry that improves chip evacuation and reduces cutting resistance. The uncoated bright finish suits applications where coating adhesion or contamination is a concern. With a total overall length of 3 inches and a flute length of 1.75 inches, this bit is suited for machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and CNC operators working in production or precision job-shop environments.
This drill bit is intended for use in non-ferrous metal applications, including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials designated under material code N and O. The 7/32-inch diameter with a straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks without adapters. A maximum drilling depth of 1-5/16 inches makes it appropriate for through-hole and blind-hole operations in typical material thicknesses encountered in precision machining and fabrication work. It conforms to DIN 6537 L geometry standards and is produced under ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing processes.
Designed for use in non-ferrous metal workpieces under material classification N and O, conforming to DIN 6537 L jobber length geometry. Fits standard straight-cylindrical shank chucks sized for 7/32-inch tooling.
This bit is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators in drill press, machining center, or hand-drill applications. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in the chuck before operation and verify runout is within acceptable limits for the application. Carbide tooling is brittle — avoid lateral loading or side forces that can cause chipping or fracture. Follow applicable shop safety practices and machine manufacturer guidelines for spindle speed and feed rate selection.
