The M.A. FORD 20619100 is a screw machine length (stub-length) solid carbide drill bit with a 0.191 inch diameter and a 118-degree faceted point angle. Designed for short, rigid drilling applications, it runs a right-hand spiral flute with a parallel web configuration and web-thinned geometry for reduced thrust at entry. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 0.191 inches in diameter and 1.4375 inches in length. Overall length is 2.1875 inches with a 0.75 inch flute length. The bright, uncoated carbide construction tolerates the heat and abrasion of demanding workpiece materials. This bit is used by machinists and tool-room technicians on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills.
The 20619100 is suited for drilling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, and carbon and alloy steels. The stub-length body minimizes deflection in short-reach applications and is well matched to fixture-plate work, production drilling in tight clearances, and tooling-plate layouts. The 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio handles chip evacuation in these shorter cuts without coolant-through features. Machinists working in job shops, aerospace component cells, and general metalworking will find this geometry well suited to high-accuracy, small-diameter hole production.
Designed for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, and steel workpieces. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 0.191 inch shank. This is a Series 206 M.A. FORD geometry optimized for the 0.1500 to 0.2000 inch diameter range.
Secure the straight shank in a properly sized collet or keyless chuck before operation. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits before drilling stainless steel or hardened alloys, as runout accelerates carbide edge wear. No coolant-through capability is present on this bit, so external flood or mist coolant should be applied when drilling stainless steel or cast iron at elevated feeds. Inspect the faceted point for chipping before each use, as solid carbide is brittle and sensitive to side loads or interrupted cuts.
