The M.A. FORD. 20610150 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit designed for high-precision hole drilling in demanding shop and machining applications. With a 0.1015 inch diameter and a 118-degree faceted point angle, this bit delivers clean, accurate entry and consistent hole geometry across a range of workpiece materials. The straight-cylindrical shank and web-thinned parallel web construction reduce thrust forces and improve chip evacuation during drilling. At 2.0 inches overall length, this short-length geometry provides added rigidity compared to jobber-length bits, making it well suited for CNC drilling, screw machine work, and close-tolerance production runs. Installation and use are handled by machinists and tool room professionals.
This drill bit is built for use in screw machines, CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes where short, rigid tooling is required. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, and steel. The bright uncoated finish makes it suitable for applications where coating residue or heat buildup from coating processes must be avoided, or where re-grinding is anticipated. It is sold individually and is appropriate for production and maintenance machining environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit cutting tool for screw machines, CNC drill stations, and drill presses accepting a 0.1015 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Compatible with primary workpiece materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metal, stainless steel, and steel as specified by the manufacturer for M.A. FORD. Series 206.
Installation is performed by machinists or tool room technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and de-energized before changing tooling. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in the appropriate collet or drill chuck to the full rated grip depth to prevent runout. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for spindle speed and feed rate selection based on workpiece material.
