The M.A. FORD. 20039060 is a solid carbide die drill bit engineered for precision holemaking in demanding materials. It features a 25/64 inch (0.3906 inch) cutting diameter, a 135-degree split point for accurate positioning and reduced walking, and a straight-flute design suited for through-hole drilling in hard or abrasive workpieces. The uncoated carbide construction provides rigidity and thermal resistance in applications where coatings may not be compatible with the workpiece or cutting fluid chemistry. Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tool-and-die professionals familiar with carbide tooling. Carbide is brittle - avoid side-loading, interrupted cuts without proper feed adjustment, and contact with hard fixtures that can chip the cutting edge. Verify spindle runout before use, as excessive runout will shorten carbide tool life significantly.
