The M.A. FORD 20037500 is a solid carbide, straight-flute die drill bit designed for precision holemaking in demanding industrial and toolroom applications. Built to Series 200 standards and manufactured to DIN specifications, this 3/8-inch diameter bit features a 135-degree split point for fast penetration and reduced walking on entry. The web-thinned geometry lowers thrust load at the cutting edge, extending tool life in hard and abrasive materials. With an uncoated carbide construction and a right-hand cutting direction, it delivers consistent hole quality in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. This bit is suited for holemaking operations in cast iron, steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, austenitic stainless steel, titanium, high-temperature alloys, hardened materials, ceramics, and glass. Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or tool-and-die technicians familiar with carbide tooling requirements. Secure the shank fully in a collet or drill chuck rated for the spindle speed required by the workpiece material. Power down and lock out the machine before changing or inspecting the bit. Carbide tooling is brittle - avoid side loads, interrupted cuts without proper setup, and contact with hard surfaces during handling or storage.
