The M.A. FORD 20010150 is a solid carbide, straight-flute die drill bit designed for precision holemaking in demanding materials. It carries a 0.1015-inch diameter, a 135-degree split point angle, and a web-thinned point geometry that reduces thrust and improves centering at entry. The uncoated carbide construction delivers consistent cutting performance across a wide range of workpiece materials. With an overall length of 1.5 inches and a 0.5-inch flute length, this bit is sized for close-tolerance die work and toolroom applications. It is a right-hand cutting tool with two flutes and conforms to DIN standards.
This drill bit is built for holemaking in cast iron, steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, austenitic stainless steel, titanium, high-temperature alloys, hardened materials, ceramic, glass, and non-ferrous metals. The Series 200 designation places it in M.A. FORD's straight-flute die drill line, which is commonly used in tool and die shops, mold shops, and precision machining environments where tight diameter tolerances and controlled entry are required. The diameter tolerance of +0.0000 to -0.0005 inches makes it suitable for press-fit and close-clearance hole applications.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks, collets, and precision drilling fixtures accepting a 0.1015-inch shank diameter. Suitable for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual toolroom machines where straight-flute carbide drills are specified.
This tool should be installed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with carbide tooling. Ensure the machine spindle and workpiece are fully secured before initiating a cut. Carbide is brittle and susceptible to chipping from side loads or interrupted cuts without proper setup. Do not use this bit in applications requiring coolant-through delivery, as this tool does not support coolant-through operation.
