It features a 135-degree split point that reduces thrust and improves centering without a pilot, and a web-thinned geometry that extends that advantage in harder workpieces. The straight-flute design suits short-hole drilling applications where chip evacuation is controlled. At 0.0700 inches in diameter (wire size #50) with an overall length of 1.5 inches and a flute length of 0.375 inches, this bit is built for tight-tolerance work. Diameter tolerance is held to +0.0000 to -0.0005 inches, making it appropriate wherever hole size consistency matters. Installation is handled by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This drill bit is suited to holemaking operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including cast iron, stainless steel, alloy steel, austenitic stainless steel, steel, titanium, high-temperature alloys, hardened materials, glass, and ceramic.
