The M.A. FORD. 180750112B is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for finishing operations in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. It features a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 1/4 inch (0.2500 inch) corner radius, and 7 flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral with super close pitch. The ALtima Blaze PVD coating delivers elevated heat and wear resistance suited to high-temperature alloys and hard steels. The cutting geometry is right-hand with medium helix, optimized for controlled chip evacuation during finish passes. Machinists and CNC operators working in aerospace, die-and-mold, or precision manufacturing environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is designed for finishing cuts on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces. With a 1-1/2 inch length of cut and a 4 inch overall length, it suits deep pocket finishing and contour work in vertical and horizontal machining centers. The straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with standard toolholders. The Series 180 designation places this within M.A. FORD.'s short-length, high-performance end mill lineup intended for tight-tolerance finishing applications. The 3/4 inch shank diameter matches the mill diameter for direct pull-out resistance in aggressive cuts.
Designed for use with standard toolholders in CNC milling applications. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium (material codes P, M, and S). Not centercutting; not suitable for direct plunge entry.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the shank in an appropriate toolholder to the full recommended gauge length before spindle engagement. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings match the workpiece material and coating specifications before cutting. This tool is not centercutting and must not be used for plunge milling without a pre-drilled entry point.
