The M.A. FORD 18075006B is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding material removal and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. It features a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 0.06 inch corner radius, and seven flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral with a medium helix angle. The super-close pitch and ALtima Blaze PVD coating make this tool well suited for high-performance finishing cuts in difficult-to-machine materials. It is a single-end tool with a straight cylindrical shank and is intended for use in standard toolholders. Machinists and CNC operators working in aerospace, medical, and precision manufacturing environments are the primary users of this series.
This end mill is built for finishing applications where tight tolerances and surface finish quality are priorities. With a 1 inch length of cut, 4 inch overall length, and a stub length designation, it is configured for rigidity in close-clearance setups. Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine powered down and spindle fully stopped. Verify toolholder runout before securing to maintain the tight tolerances this tool is designed to hold. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and shop safety guidelines when setting tool length offsets and feed and speed parameters. This tool is not center-cutting and should not be used for plunge entry.
