The M.A. FORD 18075004B is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance finishing operations in demanding materials. With a 3/4 inch mill diameter, 7-flute super-close pitch geometry, and a 0.03 inch corner radius, this tool is built to reduce chatter and produce consistent surface finishes in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. The ALtima Blaze PVD coating provides thermal and wear resistance suited to aggressive cutting conditions. This end mill is a single-end, right-hand cut tool with a spiral flute design, intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals running high-speed milling operations on CNC machining centers.
This tool is suited for finishing passes in ferrous and exotic alloy workpieces where tight tolerances and smooth finishes are required. The short length type and straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard toolholders. Primary target materials include carbon steel, stainless steel grades, nickel superalloys, and titanium alloys. It is appropriate for both production shop environments and precision job shop applications where tool life and edge integrity in difficult materials are critical performance factors.
Designed for use with standard toolholders. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium (Material Application Codes P, M, S). Part of M.A. FORD Series 180.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the toolholder. Verify runout and toolholder clamping torque meet the toolholder manufacturer specifications before operation. Non-centercutting geometry means this tool is not suited for plunge entry — use ramping or helical interpolation for pocket entry moves.
