The M.A. FORD 180750012B is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. Built to Series 180 specifications, it features a 3/4-inch diameter, a 0.25-inch corner radius, and 7 flutes arranged in a super close pitch configuration with a medium helix angle. The ALtima Blaze PVD coating provides elevated heat and wear resistance suited to hard and abrasive workpiece materials. The single-end, right-hand cutting geometry delivers consistent chip evacuation and surface finish quality in demanding CNC machining environments. This tool is intended for use in toolholders on milling machines operated by machinists and CNC technicians.
This end mill is suited for finishing passes in steel and stainless steel as well as difficult-to-machine superalloys and titanium alloys. Its stub-length flute design with a 1-inch length of cut and 4-inch overall length provides rigidity for minimizing deflection in tight-tolerance applications. The straight-cylindrical shank accepts standard toolholders without modification. The super close pitch and 7-flute count make it well suited for light radial engagement passes common in high-speed machining strategies used in aerospace, medical, and general precision manufacturing environments.
Designed for use with standard CNC toolholders accepting a 3/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC technician. Ensure the toolholder is clean and free of chips or burrs before seating the shank to achieve proper runout tolerances. Confirm spindle direction and feed-rate programming match the right-hand cutting geometry before engaging the workpiece. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for clamping torque on the toolholder to avoid shank damage or slippage.
