The M.A. FORD 18037514B is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance finishing operations on demanding workpiece materials. Built to Series 180 specifications, this single-end tool features a 3/8-inch diameter with a 0.03-inch corner radius and 7 flutes ground to a super close pitch. The ALtima Blaze PVD coating delivers elevated heat and wear resistance at the cutting edge. With a 1-inch length of cut and 2.5-inch overall length, it is sized for rigidity in tight-tolerance finishing passes. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists install and deploy this tool in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is designed for finishing cuts in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium — material groups P, M, and S. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand spiral flute geometry suit standard CNC machining center spindles. The straight cylindrical 3/8-inch shank interfaces directly with collet-style and hydraulic toolholders. The super close pitch and 7-flute configuration reduce chip load per tooth, supporting higher feed rates on tough, work-hardening alloys. Typical applications include profiling, side milling, and contouring where a controlled corner radius is required to reduce stress concentration in finished components.

Do not use this tool for plunge cutting, as this is a non-centercutting design.
