The M.A. FORD. 17850002A is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding material removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. The 1/2 inch diameter, single-end tool features 5 flutes with a right-hand spiral and a 0.015 inch corner radius that extends tool life and reduces chipping at the cutting edge. An AlTiN (ALtima) PVD coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 5/8 inch length of cut, this is a regular-length tool suited to a wide range of milling operations.

This end mill is rated for both roughing and finishing passes, making it a versatile choice for machinists working in aerospace, die and mold, and general precision machining environments. The close-pitch, 5-flute geometry supports higher feed rates in ferrous and superalloy materials.
