The M.A. FORD 17750000A is a 4-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining applications. The 0.5 inch cutting diameter pairs with a 0.5 inch length of cut and a 0.5 inch straight-cylindrical shank, giving the tool a compact, rigid profile across its 2.5 inch overall length. The variable helix geometry at 35 and 38 degrees reduces harmonic chatter and improves chip evacuation during aggressive cuts. An ALtima finish coating provides elevated wear resistance and thermal protection at the cutting edge. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, production facilities, and toolrooms.
The 17750000A is suited for milling operations on a broad range of workpiece materials including stainless steels, high-temperature alloys, cast irons, non-ferrous metals, and standard steels, as indicated by primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, P, and S. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into a workpiece. The variable index flute spacing further reduces vibration tendencies, making this end mill a practical choice for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Designed as a Series 177 OEM-style solid carbide square end mill compatible with standard 0.5 inch collet and end mill holder systems on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Suitable for workpiece material codes H, K, M, P, and S as specified by M.A. FORD for this series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tool-change procedures for the machine in use. Power down the spindle and confirm the machine is in a safe state before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and properly torqued in the collet or end mill holder per the machine manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
