The M.A. FORD 16912500R.010A is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. It features a 1/8 inch diameter with a 0.010 inch corner radius, delivering smooth, chip-resistant edges on finished surfaces and part transitions. The three-flute geometry combined with a 30-degree medium helix and AlTiN (ALtima PVD) coating supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. Center-cutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals, this end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring precise, consistent radii on workpiece corners.
This end mill is built for high-performance cutting in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The short-length geometry with a 1/4 inch length of cut and 1/4 inch reach length provides rigidity and minimizes deflection in tight-clearance setups. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into standard toolholders. It is well suited to production environments where consistent corner geometry and extended tool life across difficult workpiece materials are required.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines requiring a short-length, small-diameter corner radius end mill in Series 169.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the toolholder. Verify toolholder bore cleanliness and runout before tightening to ensure concentricity within the stated diameter tolerance of plus 0.0000 to minus 0.0020 inches. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the 1/4 inch length of cut; overextension beyond the flute length can cause tool deflection or breakage.
