The M.A. FORD 16911810 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in CNC and manual machining operations. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it offers a 0.1181 inch cutting diameter and a 0.2362 inch length of cut, making it well suited for stub-length applications where rigidity and accuracy are priorities. The 3-flute geometry paired with a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The bright, uncoated finish is appropriate for a wide range of workpiece materials. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in production and job shop environments.
This end mill is rated for use across multiple material categories including hardened steels, cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, long-chipping materials, and high-temperature alloys, corresponding to ISO material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The stub length configuration reduces overhang and deflection, making it a practical choice for shallow-to-moderate-depth pocketing, slotting, and profiling operations on small-diameter features. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet and end mill holders.
Compatible with workpiece materials in ISO categories H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering hardened steels, cast irons, stainless and heat-resistant steels, non-ferrous metals, long-chipping steels, and superalloys. Fits any standard collet or end mill holder accepting a 0.1181 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Part of the M.A. FORD Series 169.
Install and remove end mills only after the spindle has come to a complete stop and machine power has been properly isolated. Use a calibrated collet or precision end mill holder sized to the 0.1181 inch shank diameter to ensure concentricity and minimize runout. Verify tool projection and depth of cut settings before initiating a cut. Follow applicable machine guarding and PPE requirements for rotating cutting tool operations.
