The M.A. FORD. 16437500 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in milling applications. Built from micrograin carbide, it delivers rigidity and wear resistance in demanding cutting conditions. The 2-flute, spiral-flute geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. At 3/8 inch in diameter with a 5/8 inch length of cut and 2-inch overall length, this is a stub-length tool suited for situations where rigidity takes priority over reach. It is centercutting, allowing for direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. Licensed machinists, toolmakers, and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is rated for use across a broad range of workpiece material groups, including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, super alloys, and general-purpose materials corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders accepting a 3/8 inch bore. The stub-length profile makes it well suited for shallow-pocket milling, slotting, and profiling operations where tool deflection must be minimized. It carries a right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation and is supplied uncoated, making it a cost-effective option for shops that prefer uncoated carbide for specific material pairings.

Installation is performed by machinists and CNC operators on milling machines and machining centers.
