The M.A. FORD 16375000 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations across a wide range of workpiece materials. Built on the Series 163 platform with a micrograin carbide substrate, this tool delivers consistent performance in demanding cutting environments. The 3/4 inch diameter cutter carries four right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle, producing efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. Overall length is 3 inches, with a 1 inch length of cut. The bright uncoated finish suits applications where coating interaction with the workpiece is a concern or where re-sharpening is anticipated. Qualified machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary installers and users of this end mill.
This end mill is rated for use on a broad spectrum of workpiece materials, including cast iron and hardened materials (H), non-ferrous metals (K), stainless steel (M), non-metals and composites (N), steel (P), and superalloys (S) per the ISO material group designations in the supplier specifications. The stub length profile and straight-cylindrical shank make it well suited to standard milling machine spindles and CNC machining centers where rigidity and minimal overhang are priorities. Single-end construction focuses the tool life in one cutting end.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling option for milling machine spindles and CNC machining center tool holders accepting a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for ISO material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC machine operators familiar with tool holding and runout requirements. Ensure the spindle and tool holder are free of debris before seating the shank, and verify that the holder clamping torque meets the machine tool manufacturer specifications. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Confirm proper tool projection and runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cutting program.
