The M.A. FORD. 16312500 is a solid carbide, four-flute square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of materials. It features a 0.125-inch mill diameter, a 0.250-inch length of cut, and a 1.500-inch overall length, making it a stub-length tool suited for rigid, close-tolerance work. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the spiral flute geometry supports smooth cutting action. Manufactured from micrograin carbide and left uncoated, this end mill delivers consistent edge integrity in demanding machining environments. It is a centercutting tool, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece.
This end mill is intended for use in professional machining, toolroom, and production environments where small-diameter precision cutting is required. The Series 163 designation from M.A. FORD. covers stub-length square end mills built for high-precision applications. Suitable workpiece material categories include cast irons, non-ferrous metals, stainless steels, heat-resistant alloys, carbon and alloy steels, and titanium alloys, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC and manual milling setups.
