The M.A. FORD. 15762501A is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in hard materials. It features a 5/8-inch diameter with a 0.015-inch corner radius and six flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral with a high helix angle of 45 degrees. The cutting edge spans 1-9/16 inches LOC with a 6-inch overall length and a straight cylindrical 5/8-inch shank. The tool is coated with ALtima 52, a PVD-applied finish that extends tool life in demanding cutting conditions. It is single-end, centercutting, and suitable for both roughing and finishing operations. Licensed machinists and tooling specialists install and deploy this end mill in CNC machining centers and manual milling setups.
This end mill is built for use on hard workpiece materials and is classified under Series 157. The close pitch flute geometry and high helix style support chip evacuation and surface finish quality in ferrous and hardened material applications. This tool is installed and changed by machinists or tooling technicians following standard CNC or manual mill lockout procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Use a calibrated torque tool when tightening collet nuts or set screws to manufacturer specifications for the toolholder in use. Inspect the shank and toolholder bore for chips or contamination before seating the tool.
