The M.A. FORD 15725000A is a 6-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding industrial and machining applications. Built from micrograin carbide stock, it carries an ALtima coating and a 45-degree helix angle that improves chip evacuation and surface finish at elevated feed rates. The mill diameter is 0.25 inches with a 0.625-inch length of cut and a 3.5-inch overall length. It is centercutting, runs right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction, and is suited for machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC milling centers and manual mills alike.
This end mill is rated for use across a broad range of workpiece materials, including hardened steels, stainless and tool steels, high-temperature alloys, and titanium, corresponding to ISO material codes H, M, P, and S. The straight cylindrical shank and standard 0.25-inch shank diameter make it compatible with common collet and end mill holder systems used in production and job-shop environments. It is sold individually and is well suited for finish milling, slotting, and profiling passes where tool rigidity and edge life are critical.

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine in a locked-out state per applicable safety procedures. Ensure the collet or tool holder is clean and free of chips before seating the shank to the correct engagement depth. Verify runout with a dial indicator after tightening to avoid premature edge chipping. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder recommendations for starting speeds and feeds before optimizing for the specific workpiece material.
