The M.A. FORD. 15007870A is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations across a wide range of workpiece materials. It features a 0.0787 inch (2.00 mm) cutting diameter, a 0.3543 inch (9.00 mm) length of cut, and a 30-degree helical flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this two-flute end mill delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for demanding milling applications. It is part of the M.A. FORD. Series 150 and is suited for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is appropriate for milling operations on a broad spectrum of materials, including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, aluminum alloys, nonferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys, as indicated by primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. Its standard-length profile and straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with conventional collet chucks and end mill holders. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction suit standard spindle configurations found on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills alike.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and production end mill for use in standard collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and end mill holders accepting a 3.00 mm (0.1181 inch) straight-cylindrical shank, as part of the M.A. FORD. Series 150 line.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out, de-energized state per applicable lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the collet or tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material being machined. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use.
