The M.A. FORD 13875008F is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precise material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It carries a 0.75 inch cutting diameter and a 3 inch length of cut, providing substantial reach for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. The three-flute helical design runs at a 36-degree helix angle, optimizing chip evacuation and reducing cutting forces. A titanium diboride coating lowers friction and extends tool life in demanding cuts. This end mill is suited for use on CNC machining centers and manual mills where non-ferrous metals are the primary workpiece material. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 0.75 inches in diameter with an h6 tolerance, fitting standard collet and end mill holder tooling systems. With an overall length of 6 inches, it handles applications requiring extended reach without sacrificing rigidity. The centercutting geometry allows both plunge and ramping entry. Designed for use in standard 0.75 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. Primary workpiece material classification is non-ferrous metal (Material Code: N), including aluminum, brass, and copper alloys.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts to confirm proper seating and avoid premature tool wear.
