The M.A. FORD. 13875007R.125 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in non-ferrous metals and similar materials. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 2-1/2 inch reach length, and a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch) corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at part edges and extends tool life. With 3 flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration and a medium helix style, this end mill supports both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. The bright uncoated finish suits applications where coating interaction with the workpiece is a concern. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals running CNC mills or manual knee mills will find this a capable general-purpose cutter for aluminum, brass, copper, and similar non-ferrous stock.
This end mill is suited for slot milling, peripheral milling, and contour work in non-ferrous metals. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, giving operators flexibility in toolpath programming without requiring a pre-drilled lead-in hole. The straight cylindrical shank at 3/4 inch diameter fits standard ER, side-lock, and shrink-fit toolholders. The 5 inch overall length and 2-1/2 inch length of cut make it practical for moderate-depth pockets and walls where a standard-reach tool would bottom out in the holder before reaching depth.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders including ER collet chucks, side-lock holders, and shrink-fit systems accepting a 3/4 inch shank. Primary workpiece material designation is non-ferrous metal (material code N). Part of the M.A. FORD. Series 138 end mill family.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the tool. Seat the shank to the minimum recommended insertion depth for the toolholder in use to maximize rigidity and minimize runout. Verify corner radius geometry and tool runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production run, particularly on finishing passes where dimensional tolerance is critical.
