The M.A. FORD 13839370R.118 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-precision milling operations in non-ferrous metals. The tool features a 10 mm cutting diameter, a 3 mm corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a medium helix angle of 36 degrees. With a length of cut of 22 mm and a 70 mm overall length, it is built for short-reach applications where rigidity and accuracy are critical. The centercutting geometry allows for direct plunging into the workpiece. This end mill is used by machinists and tooling professionals in CNC milling environments where both roughing and finishing passes are required in a single tool.
This end mill is suited for milling non-ferrous materials including aluminum alloys, copper, brass, and similar workpiece materials. The bright, uncoated carbide surface performs well where coating interaction with the base material could be a concern. The straight-cylindrical shank diameter of 10 mm is compatible with standard collet and toolholder setups used in CNC machining centers and manual mills. The normal pitch flute spacing and right-hand cutting direction make it a reliable choice for standard milling operations at consistent chip loads in short-overhang setups.
Designed for use with standard collet-style and shrink-fit toolholders accepting a 10 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material classification is non-ferrous metal (Material Code N). Part of the M.A. FORD Series 138 corner radius end mill line.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians in CNC or manual milling setups. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is seated to the correct gauge length before tightening the toolholder. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating to confirm proper engagement. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's torque specifications for collet nut tightening.
