The M.A. FORD. 13837500R.015 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precise milling of non-ferrous metals. It features a 3/8 inch mill diameter with a 0.015 inch corner radius and three right-hand spiral flutes in a normal pitch configuration. The bright, uncoated finish is suited for applications where coating is not required or where workpiece material adhesion to coated tools is a concern. Center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional side milling. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in job shop, production, or maintenance environments.
This end mill is built for roughing and finishing operations on non-ferrous metals, including aluminum and copper alloys. The stub-length profile with a 1/2 inch length of cut and 2 inch overall length provides rigidity in tight-clearance setups. The straight cylindrical shank measures 3/8 inch in diameter and is compatible with standard toolholders. The medium helix angle supports chip evacuation and surface finish quality in typical non-ferrous milling applications. Series 138 from M.A. FORD. is a single-end design suited to a wide range of CNC machining center and manual mill operations.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 3/8 inch straight cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal. Compatible with CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped with appropriate collet or end mill holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the toolholder. Seat the shank to the recommended engagement depth specified by the toolholder manufacturer and torque the set screw or collet nut per toolholder guidelines. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chipping before each use, as carbide tooling is brittle and sensitive to impact.
