The M.A. FORD. 13837500F is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision material removal in metalworking and machining applications. Built on the Series 138 platform, it features a 0.3750 inch cutting diameter, a 0.5 inch length of cut, and a 36-degree helical flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and wear resistance required for consistent performance in demanding machining environments. A titanium diboride (TiB2) coating reduces friction and extends tool life when cutting non-ferrous materials. This end mill is sold and installed by machinists, tooling specialists, and CNC operators working in production and job-shop settings.
This end mill is designed primarily for cutting non-ferrous metals, including aluminum, copper, brass, and similar alloys where sharp geometry and low-friction coatings are critical to surface finish and tool longevity. The 3-flute configuration balances chip room with rigidity, making it well-suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. With a 0.375 inch straight-cylindrical shank and a 2 inch overall length, it fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders used on vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual mills.
Designed for use with non-ferrous metals (material code N) in standard collet or end mill holder setups. Shank diameter tolerance is h6, compatible with precision collet chucks requiring close-tolerance shanks. Part of the M.A. FORD. Series 138 end mill family.
Installation should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling personnel. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended gauge line depth and torque the retention hardware per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating before initiating a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear on carbide tools.
