The M.A. FORD. 13825009 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in non-ferrous metals and similar materials. It features a 0.25 inch cutting diameter, a 1.75 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length. The three-flute, helical design runs at a 36-degree helix angle, promoting efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The micrograin carbide construction delivers rigidity and wear resistance suited to high-speed machining applications. The bright, uncoated finish is well matched to non-ferrous workpiece materials where coating buildup is not a concern. This end mill is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators in job shops, production environments, and toolroom settings.
This end mill is engineered primarily for non-ferrous metal applications, including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials designated by material code N. Its centercutting capability allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral and slot milling. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard ER and set-screw style tool holders with a 0.25 inch bore. The Series 138 designation identifies it within M.A. FORD.'s standard square end mill product line. It is a single-end tool with right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in standard 0.25 inch bore ER collet chucks, milling chucks, and set-screw style tool holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator familiar with tool holding systems and safe machine setup procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the recommended engagement depth for the tool holder type in use and torque the retention mechanism per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with an indicator before beginning the cut, as excessive runout will accelerate tool wear and degrade surface finish.
